Pure Sauce: 49 Degrees Organics

7 Oct

As much as possible we strive to eat locally produced organic foods, so when good friends started producing and selling their fabulous, homemade organic sauces, we were really impressed. In 2009, ’49 Degrees Organics’ was launched by a pair of Vancouver culinary enthusiasts, who have a passion and flare for food.

For over 10 years, they have been perfecting their own homemade sauces, and have developed four distinct and delicious flavors: Red Pepper, Blackberry Maple, Indian Mango and Cherry Chipotle. Each sauce is hand crafted with certified organic ingredients. The sauce can be used for dipping, marinating, basting, you name it. The Blackberry Maple goes really well with duck and the Cherry Chipotle (my personal favorite) makes a great dipping sauce for chicken and ribs, yummy! The Red Pepper has a really lively flavor. It’s not too hot and makes an excellent accompaniment for wings and the Indian Mango tastes delicious with seafood, especially prawns. The sauces are all really versatile and unique, so the possibilities are endless. I’d definitely recommend trying it.
